Someone's been a very bad zombie.
Kate Grable is horrified to find out that the football coach has given the team steroids. Worse yet, the steriods are having an unexpected effect, turning hot gridiron hunks into mindless flesh-eating zombies. No one is safe--not her cute crush Aaron, not her dorky brother, Jonah... not even Kate! She's got to find an antidote--before her entire high school ends up eating each other. So Kate, her best girlfriend, Rocky, and Aaron stage a frantic battle to save their town... and stay hormonally human.

Okay, firstly, as always, the cover. I love the cover. Its simple... but easily captured my attention. However I have, after reading the book, been struggling about the association of the book and the cover, maybe its to do with her having a huge chunk of her lip being eaten by her zombie ex? Who knows, but it is gorgeous.

Kate Grable is 17, recently got her driving licence and is slowly being drawn out of the world of geeks and into the world of popularity. She is a biology science geek and often helps out her awesome science teacher with her extra 'government' projects. She is a student trainer for the school football team and is trusted with carting around the gatorade after the matches, however this is not just any old team... sadly this is, basically a rubbish football team who don't seem to have won any matches at all. Due to the team being so... awful, the coach decides to try out some new steroids (*cough* illegal drugs *cough*). Little did he know, it turned them all into flesh eating zombies (Wahoooooo!) As Kate stumbles to find a cure throughout her astonishing amount of medical knowledge, the towns are slowly beginning to become infected with this 'virus'. Can Kate really find a cure or is it just hopeless?

DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNNN!

I must say, Kate is an awesome character. She is strong, has great medical knowledge and is amazing in an emergency. She is very practical for all situations (such as a bag of sand in the back of her boot and a whole medical kit.) She has a big crush on Mr. Aaron aka Mr. Hot & Popular and is all business when she is in her concentration zone. She loves pop quizzes (I personally hate them!) and is now scarred for life when she finds her brother searching through her draw of undies... oops. She is also very funny at moments, especially where her brother is involved.

This was a very quick read for me, but to be honest, I think it was just the right amount. It was funny and contagious, the idea of the book was very good and I instantly found myself getting stuck into it. It was brilliant fun to read. However there was something that got me... how did all the teachers not notice there were any zombies in the school?

Anyway, this was a great read and I can't wait to read the next book in the series... Bad Hair Day.
