Best-selling author Beth Fantaskey's funny, fast-paced blend of Clueless and Nancy Drew is a suspenseful page-turner that is the best time a reader can have with buried weapons, chicken clocks, and a boy who only watches gloomy movies…but somehow makes Millie smile. Bee-lieve it.

This was a comedic, fun and a thoroughly enjoyable novel of which certainly made me laugh-out-loud! I love the cover, it definitely illustrates the key parts of the novel alongside being bright and colourful; it definitely captures your attention.

Millie is just a normal teenage girl, she loves to write for her school newspaper, has a negative relationship with the head cheerleader and… always gets in trouble for talking. Though when she stumbles into a murder and throws up on the quarterback, mysterious and gorgeous Chase Albright, Millie cannot help but want to solve it. But as she becomes more involved, she begins to build a reputation, which may also be putting her straight into the firing line.

Millie is a fun, determined, chatty, sarcastic, says-random-things type of person. She was a brilliant character who was true to herself and never held back; she was definitely bossy when she wanted to be! Chase was the perfect compliment to Millie's personality. He was calm and collected, but it was great to see his character evolve and for him to come out-of-his-shell. He was also swoon-worthy with his exceptional vocabulary, which is always a bonus!

The plot was engaging and fun, the mystery definitely took you in circles and, though it was easy to guess which circle of people the murderer was from, it was hard to figure it out until just before it was revealed and why. It was quick, fun and engaging, perfect for a funny read.

A fun and engaging mystery that will make you laugh-out-loud so many times you will lose count. And I had to highlight so many funny quotes, it was endless! I will definitely be checking out more of Beth Fantaskey's novels.
