Would you send a villain to do a hero's job? An exciting new twisted fairy tale series from award-winning author Jen Calonita.

Full of regret, Cinderella's wicked stepmother, Flora, has founded the Fairy Tale Reform School with the mission of turning the wicked and criminally mischievous into upstanding members of Enchantasia.

Impish, sassy 12-year-old Gilly has a history of petty theft and she's not too sorry about it. When she lifts a hair clip, she gets tossed in reform school-for at least three months. But when she meets fellow students Jax and Kayla, she learns there's more to this school than its sweet mission. There's a battle brewing and she starts to wonder: can a villian really change?
Magically fun and enchanting, Flunked is a light and exciting novel of the world of Fairy Tales. I LOVE the cover; it just screams "Fairy Tales".

When Jen steps over the line to save her family, she is sent to the Fairy Tale Reform School, formed by Cinderella's wicked stepmother. However, when strange evil events become apparent, Jen and her new friends are left to solve the puzzle, before the school and the Princesses are gone forever.

Jen was a lighthearted and witty protagonist, and will undeniably put a smile on your face. She cares about the wellbeing of her family more than anything, doing anything it takes even if it puts her in serious trouble. I also thoroughly enjoyed reading about our secondary characters; this novel would not be what it is without them!

When reading this novel, all I could think about was the Shrek movies, they were just so fun and lighthearted that you could not help but enjoy it. It was fast pace and kept your attention, I could not stop reading till the very end.

Imaginative and magical, this novel will certainly take you back to your favourite childhood stories.
