Evie finally has the normal life she's always longed for. But she's shocked to discover that being ordinary can be... kind of boring. Just when Evie starts to long for the days at the International Paranormal Containment Agency, she's given a chance to work for them again. Desperate for a break from all the normalcy, she agrees

But as one disastrous mission leads to another, Evie starts to wonder if she made the right choice, And when Evie's faerie ex-boyfriend Reth appears with devastating revelations about her past, she discovers that there's a battle brewing between the faerie courts that could throw the whole supernatural world into chaos. The prize in question? Evie herself.

So much for normal.

Okay, I am officially a fan of this series! Its fun, comical but also has a dangerous side to it. The cover is gorgeous! I love the colours, so auburn making it appear magical and mysterious and her eyes... they freak me out a little :0)

Evie finally has the life she has always dreamed about in the containment centre of IPCA, to be able to go to school and live the life of her favourite tv show, Easton Heights, and to have a normal life where it is carefree with only the challange of getting into Georgetown so she can be with Lend. But, she didn't realise that it wasn't all over... it was only the beginning. Evie finds herself debating on whether a normal life is really for her or whether she should go back to working with IPCA. But that isn't all her problems, with more and more unusual species coming into town and all taking interest in Evie, are her suspicions of the Fae correct or is she just being over paranoid? And as she trys to adjust to her new powers, she becomes afraid that the only way she can protect herself is the last thing anyone should consider. But most importantly, would she become like her sister and could she truly stop herself if she had no choice?

Evie is one of my all time favourite characters. She is bright and bubbly, hyper and an adorable character to read about. Its also nice to see her characters emotions expanding a little more and showing us that she really does feel fear at times, which is hard sometimes to believe as she is always very calm and sarcastic when faced against evil supernatural creatures, of which is something I really enjoy about her character! She is definitely not like alot of female protagonists in young adult, supernatural books. She doesn't run away, hide or even wimper, she faces the problems with maturity and just gets on with it. And, of course, we wouldn't be without her sarcastic comments and comebacks (sometimes in serious situations):

I raised my hand. "Umm, hello? Girl who was kidnapped by said sylph? Anyone want to fill me in in what it is and why it decided to give me an aerial tour of our fine state?"

It was bad enough that half the local vamps tried to use their mind-control powers to convince me I didn't want a tip. I always want a tip, you undead creeps.
This quote reminds me very much of my thought process with ALL bins.
And taking out the trash meant the Dumpster and I had to actually touch it to get it open, and it was sticky.
STICKY.

And then we have her comparison of herself to Lend... It made me smile:

His ethereal, near-angelic beauty compared to my... well, for the sake of my self-esteem, it was probably best not to compare.

We were also introduced to a new character, Jack. Information on Jack was very slowly unveiled which gave mystery to him and had you suspecting him of working from the inside. But he was just a boy he seemed to just want a friend who was like him, and so, his actions were sometimes very funny to read about. But, he is a hilarious character, who made you laugh-out-loud and was the perfect match to Evie's humour as it was very much alike. He was also very annoying towards Evie meaning she would get a little frustrated with him at times (you go girl!)

Jack was mid-jump when I burst into my room. I snatched his ankle, flipping him horizontal. He crashed down hard to my bed and rolled off onto the floor. And laughed. "Lets do that again! But this time I'll jump even higher."

You see what I mean?

Like the last book in the series, Paranormalcy, there is lots of danger, suspense but with a fun and fluffy aspect to it. You will love every minute of it and won't be able to stop till the very last page, your mouth will also hurt from all the smiling and laughing you will constantly be doing. You also get to see more of Lend and Evie's relationship which is very cute and at what lengths they would go to save each other, even if it means keeping secrets they will take to the grave.

My review for the first book in the series is here: Paranormalcy. And the third book in the series is called: Endlessly, I can't wait to read it!
